Durring his first two seasons on the squad, Bill was used as the #1 backup option. He managed to play varsity doubles matches in each of his first two years with a variety of partners. Bill also played a 3rd singles match as well. In 2003, Bill becomes a full-time starter at the 2nd doubles spot with teammate, Victor Broccoli. Bill and Victor won the bronze medal for their 3rd place finish at 2nd doubles in the 2003 UCT.
