END OF AN ERA
The Johnson Tennis Team has completed the 2003 season. They finish with a 16-5 record, 9-3 in the MVC. Durring the 2003 season, ALJ won a state playoff game for the first time in school history and finished 5th at the UCT tournament. First singles Mike Klimchak, broke the school record with his 61st career singles win, a streak he streached to 64 by season's end, and made it to the second round of the state singles tournament. Senior Craig D'Amico was named the 2003 team Most Valuable Player. This year the team says goodbye to six senior players: Victor Broccoli, Craig D'Amico, Devin Felter, John Kosempel, Chintan Patel, and Luke Swantek. A great season complete by all, and a job well done, until the team gets back together next March when the 2004 season gets underway!
Mike Klimchak at State Singles Tournament-
Johnson 1st singles Mike Klimchak had a strong showing at the State Singles Tournament on Monday, winning in the opening round by default, and then pushing Marlboro's Andrew Sharnov to the edge of defeat, defore dropping a 3 set match- 6-3, 6-7 (5), 3-6.

Senior Craig D'Amico was voted as the team's Most Valuble Player at the annual Spring Awards Ceremony on Tuesday evening. Craig is 3-1 in the 2003 season.
