Joe is one of the most improved players on the Johnson tennis team. As a freshman and sophomore, Joe was paired with Anthony Gurracci, and alternated between the 1st and 2nd doubles spots. Joe and Anthony won the 3rd place bronze in the 2002 UCT. Joe teamed with Victor Broccoli for a key win at 2nd doubles in a match against GL, and teamed with Bill Weslosky for a big win over Westfield. Heading into 2003, Joe made a successful jump from doubles to singles, and has moved up to the 3rd singles spot. Only in his third year, Joe has played at every varsity position, except 1st singles.
